In short
When you rent a website from WEEKENDER, you own everything that's unmistakably yours — your domain, your content, your images, and every lead your forms capture — from day one, on your own accounts. The custom design and code are licensed to you while you rent. You can buy them outright any time, and on a rent-to-own term the whole build transfers to you free at 36 months. Nothing that's yours is ever held hostage.
The four layers
A site is four things.
"Who owns the site?" only gets a clean answer once you stop treating it as one lump. Three of the four layers are yours by definition — the only open question is the build.

The one thing a buyout can't include is other people's licensed work — fonts, stock, video — which you'd re-license directly. We say that out loud; it builds more trust than pretending.

The price falls every month.
Every build has a fixed Build Value. Your buyout price is Build Value × (1 − months ÷ 36) — cheaper the longer you've rented. Example below uses a $3,600 Momentum build.

Managed Rental
The default. Buy out any time; after 24 months the price floors at about a third of the build value and never expires. You rent for as long as it's working for you — hosting, care, and updates always included.
Rent-to-Own
Pay a little more each month and the buyout decays all the way to zero — at 36 months the whole build is yours, free and clear, and your monthly drops to hosting-and-care only (or you leave).
If you leave
Nothing goes dark.
Cancel and, within five business days, you get an export package. No penalty, no held hostages, no exit fee.
A working copy
Lights stay on
A static snapshot of your site's content and layout you can host anywhere — so you're never dark, even without buying the source build.
60-day redirect
Move without breaking
We keep your domain pointing and redirects live for 60 days, so nothing 404s while you move DNS and hosting.

Commitment, priced not forced.
12-month term
The default and the best rate. Twelve months, then it continues month-to-month — no fresh lock-in. Cheaper 24- and 36-month terms lower the monthly further and set up the rent-to-own path.
Month-to-month
Prefer zero commitment? A no-term lane is available at a premium. You pay for the freedom to walk any month — the freedom is priced, never removed.
Upgrades apply immediately and prorated; you can add or drop modules as you grow. Full plans and the configurator are on the pricing page.

If I rent, do I own my website?
You own everything that's unmistakably yours from day one — your domain, your content, your images, and every lead your forms capture, all on your own accounts. The custom design and code are licensed to you while you rent, and you can buy them outright any time or earn them free on a rent-to-own term.
How does the buyout work?
The buyout price falls every month you pay. On a Managed Rental it declines for 24 months, then floors at about a third of the build value and never expires. On a Rent-to-Own term it declines all the way to zero, and the whole build transfers to you free at 36 months.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
Nothing goes dark. You keep your domain, content, and complete lead history, and you receive a working static copy of your site you can host anywhere, plus a 60-day redirect while you move. There's no exit fee — ever.
Is there a minimum term?
The standard plan has a 12-month initial term, then continues month-to-month. A no-commitment month-to-month lane is also available at a premium. Longer 24- and 36-month terms cost less per month and set up the rent-to-own path.
